Voluntary & involuntary hospitalisation
- As a voluntary patient, you are admitted into hospital freely. You are able to leave hospital at any time you want to.
- An involuntary patient is a person who has been assessed by a psychiatrist and put on a compulsory treatment order. There are many ways to get support in relation to involuntary treatment, as well as knowing your rights or the rights of the person you support.
